Hate crimes or bias-motivated crimes are a perpetrated against targets due to his or her perceived (generally recognized as true) membership in a certain social group. While a hate crime is generally recognized as crimes perpetrated against racial groups or individuals due to their sexual orientation, there are additional factors which constitute a hate crime. These factors include crimes committed against an individual or group due to their religious affiliation, political affiliation, a disability, their age, class or even a victim’s gender.
Violent bigotry targets more than a single victim, or a small group of victims being physically injured; hate crimes create an outreaching and lingering psychological effect on the human community. These crimes are meant to intimidate a person or group; making them feel more vulnerable than a person not amongst the group at which the violence had been targeted; resulting in a fragmented community and increased violence potential.
Despite Hate Crime Legislation, I have been reviewing several persons who I believe should be arrested, convicted and jailed (long-term) for hate crimes; yet the DOJ (Department of Justice) simply sits on their hands, ignoring the crimes being committed on a daily basis. Let’s take a look at the criminals and their crimes:
Sarah Palin: Has targeted a list of Democratic members of Congress she intends to see defeated this year. Her crime: marking each of the targets with a reticle, a network of fine lines or fibers in the eyepiece of a sighting device; more commonly known as crosshairs. Why should this be a hate crime: the targets are a political group; marking the targeted victims with a reticle is inciting violence.
Is this really a crime? Contact local and state law enforcement officers, the DOJ, FBI and Department of Homeland Security. Remain calm throughout your conversation. State that you are seeking advice because you do not want to break the law; then, explain that you have a problem with either the Democratic or Republican Party and you want to make sure this group does not win in the upcoming election; therefore, you plan on posting you opinion on every conceivable online forum. Tell them your plan is to say, let’s get them; and you want to mark your targets with crosshairs; then request to know if you could get arrested for doing this. Make more than one call on different days of the week, during different time periods; you will find that the response to your question will change with the person answering the telephone. In the end, you will learn that you can be held criminally responsible should anything happen to any of your targets. You should also learn that you may be arrested for inciting violence. Once you learn this; ask this question: Then why hasn’t Sarah Palin been advised to remove her Democratic targets marked by crosshairs; or arrested for attempting to incite violence.
It will take more than one person and more than one telephone call; but will be doing something responsible and you will be doing it responsibly. If you believe Sarah Palin is correct; if you believe that violence is the answer; go to this location (Google Books) http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&rlz=1T4GGLL_enUS356US357&q=war%20of%20rebellion&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbo=u&tbs=bks:1&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wp and begin reading about the American Civil War (AKA: War of the Rebellion and War of Northern Aggression). If that maneuver has not changed your point of view, go to the Library of Congress’ website http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/cwarquery.html and search under death, dead, killed. If after all of this you still prefer violence; leave the country, permanently, commit yourself to a mental institution, or pack all of your belongings and move into a cave as far away from civilization as possible because people like you do not deserve to be called American.
Of course, Sarah Palin is not the only person inciting violence; have you listened to Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck? How about the outright lies and fear mongering utilized by the NEWLY REVISED Radical Republican Party (I believe that Ronald Reagan is probably rolling in his grave to think he ever associated himself with this party; in fact, every time I see a Republican running through the rain I have to smile; because all I can picture is Reagan pissing on them!). Why, you may ask did I say newly revised; go to Google Books and search for radical republicans & reconstruction that should give you at least a tiny piece of understanding.
Now, take one more step before hearing how you can stop this political violence; take another trip to Google Books and check out the Nuremberg trials. If you can honestly read trial information and not see that the Bush Administration, specifically ex-VP Cheney are not guilty of war crimes; well, once again, leave the country, permanently, commit yourself to a mental institution, or pack all of your belongings and move into a cave as far away from civilization as possible because people like you do not deserve to be called American.
STOPPING POLITICAL VIOLENCE & RECREATING A GOVERNMENT FOR THE PEOPLE:
This will be a long, dragged out process; but, if enough individuals give a damn about the United States, it can be achieved. First, you have to hit the politicians where it will do the most good; their pocketbooks! There is no way that the law I am suggesting will even be considered by Congress or Senate; this has to be done on the street level.
The only means by which to force Politicians to work for the people rather than Corporations and the wealthy is to take away the ability of lobbyist to fund a political candidate! Without money in their pockets, without the ability to open their hands to those who can pay; elected officials would once again be forced to open their eyes and ears to their constituents. Political reform is possible, it has happened before and it is time that it happens again. (For those of you who do not believe in eternal return {All this has happened before, and all this will happen again} check out the Panic of 1857; if you look at it with your eyes wide open, you should realize that the Panic of 1857 is terrifyingly similar to the recent collapse on Wall Street.
Moving on: I move that every citizen in the United States with an net income of less than $250,000.00 work for the following referendum; Lobbyist will no longer be allowed to fund a politician or his campaign. Additionally, any individual, or family with a net income of $250,000.00, and any company or corporation will no longer be able to fund a politician or his campaign. I further suggest that a ten year average (when possible) based on the previous ten year period; or an average based on the past ten political donations for all lobbyist, all companies and corporations, or individuals or families with a net income of at least $250,000.00 be made public and the aforementioned be responsible to continue their past donations; but to a collective pot rather than an individual candidate. I propose that this pot be split into quarters to be used in the following manner; 25% be used to fund social programs throughout the United States, those programs being temporary assistance, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, Food Stamps, Heap, etc. I propose that 25% be used to pay down the government deficit. I propose that 25% be used to bring jobs back to the United States. I propose the remaining 25% be split amongst the politicians for their campaigns.
Furthermore, I propose that any politician caught accepting money from any of the aforementioned sources, or manipulating funding by using persons with a net income below $250,000.00; immediately forfeit his position and any future benefits he may have earned. I also propose that these politicians spend three years in a Medium – Security State Correctional Facility, in general population. Properly paying for a crime will make crime less attractive.
If a politician commits a moral crime; but has broken no laws; I propose that politician’s life no longer be dragged into the national spotlight. I further propose that the politician’s family alone shall judge the person; providing that the politician has done the job he was elected to do and has not used taxpayer money for his tryst; no one has a right, be it Democrat or Republican to judge that politician. Furthermore, I propose laws against media coverage of such incidents unless the politician campaigned on moral values. If that he the case the politician if national shall be judged by the national public, if state by the state public and if local by the local public alone.
I propose that all politicians, rather it be local, state or federal have their wages readjusted. Many politicians work on a part-time basis; yet they make far more than the average working man. I believe that all wages should be voted on by their constituents, as should any future raises, any benefits, any per diem accounts, as well as any expense accounts. If the constituents have a larger role to play in the political arena; politicians would be less likely to get out of control as they seem to have become over the last twenty years.
I propose that any politician who knowingly lies to his constituents, or utilizes fear mongering as an approach to further his political agenda, or continue in his political arena; immediately be brought up on charges and dismissed without pay until the nation, as a whole considers whether or not he be allowed to retain his position.
PROPOSED LAWS TO SIMULATE ECONOMY:
I further propose that all tax credits presently given to companies who outsource jobs to other countries be rescinded; and a tax be levied against all companies based on their employment averages from 1998; before continuing I feel it necessary to explain. Since 1998, 3 million manufacturing jobs have been lost to U.S. citizens due to outsourcing; an approximate 500,000 professional/informational jobs have also been lost for the same reason, during the same time period. To return jobs to America, I propose the following; every company must make public the number of jobs they have outsourced since 1998. In order to return America’s jobs, my proposal is thus; once the outsourcing information has been made public, each company who has outsourced United States jobs must pay a .05% of their annual net income fine for each outsourced job, up to 50% of the jobs they have outsourced. In addition, for each job a company brings back to the United States (again up to 50% of their outsourced job rate) they will receive a .1% tax deduction on their annual net income.
Additionally, I believe that any company within the United States that employs 100 or more persons must allow a union into their establishment to protect the workers. The Union is to negotiate no more than 1% wage increase per each contract calendar; the Union will also be responsible to see that companies of this size provide a reduced health insurance option for their employees and must allow each employee the opportunity of a 40 hour work week. Unions should also be responsible for allotting sick days and vacation days; personal days, hot days and the like are not necessary. Companies must allow an employee to use these sick days without doctor’s note. (This should assure that companies such as Wal-Mart who brag about their employees being insured, when the principal insurer is the tax-payer (Medicaid).
Further more, I propose child support laws be reviewed. After discussion with several non-custodial parents (both male and female) and a great deal of research, it is my belief that these laws meant to benefit the nation’s children have gotten out of control and have torn the community fabric.
Finally, I propose that the Blue Laws be restored. Families have been torn since their repeal; if a family is forced to spend one day per week together, society may change for the better.

Too Tired to Keep Listening to this Health Care Bull...
I am getting so sick and tired of hearing complaints about health care reform - so it's finally time for me to add my two cents worth; that's worth about 200% more than the crap I have been hearing.
Let's get things straight - just because someone says something - that does not make it true! If you are asinine enough to believe everything you hear - stop listening! Turn off your television, your radio, your computer, your telephone and talk to no one - because believe it or not - a lot of people are laughing at you behind your back! The people who are not laughing at you are trying to figure out how to scam you out of everything you own - after all - you are apparently a gullible dumbass!
I backup what I say - I research and use facts - rather than believing what I hear, I check facts. So to prove we have real dumbass citizens in the U.S. How about the senior citizens who were caught screaming at town hall meetings 'Keep your government hands off my Medicare?' DUMBASS - Medicare is a government program; in fact it is considered a SOCIAL government health care program, a SINGLE-PAYER program signed into law July 30, 1965.
GOP SOLUTIONS: let families and businesses buy health insurance across state lines. This sounds great, insurance companies would be able to see their product to anyone, anywhere; allotting a greater range of insurers to select from. However, would the potential health insurance client truly be protected against insurance cancellation or be able to get insurance if they have a pre-existing condition?
New York State (for example) has specific laws to protect their citizens, such as;
In New York, your ability to purchase health insurance does not depend on your health status.
Group insurance is available to all group members without special limits or added cost based on your health status.
New York has limits on preexisting conditions limitations. There are rules concerning what constitutes a preexisting condition and the length of any waiting period that can be imposed on a preexisting condition. As a general rule, the amount of time you were covered under a prior plan counts toward satisfaction of any waiting period in a new plan if there has not been a break in coverage of longer than 63 days.
Insurance cannot be terminated if you become ill.
Individual and small group coverage is available on an open enrollment and guaranteed issue basis.
The cost for individual health and small group health insurance is the same for all. It cannot change based on health status, age, sex, or occupation.
Opening up doors for interstate insurance sales would mean that suddenly, the insurance companies doing in NY would find it more financially conducive to leave NY and settle in a state where they are not forced to comply with these regulations. Suddenly, insurance companies would be able to take advantage of NY State residents.
If you can't understand this - email me; I'll be happy to have my three-year old granddaughter explain it to you on your own level of understanding.
GOP Option 2: allow individuals, small businesses, and trade associations to pool together and acquire health insurance at lower prices, the same way large corporations and labor unions do.
Hmm, maybe if all of the states whining about state's rights cared about their citizens, they would have state options for small businesses just like NY does. The real problem here is that without Federal intervention, most states ignore these problems.
GOP Option 3: give states the tools to create their own innovative reforms that lower health care costs.
Again, giving the states the tools seems to be saying that the states couldn't figure this out on their own so they need help, in other words; Governmental Intervention!
GOP Option 4: end junk lawsuits that contribute to higher health care costs by increasing the number of tests and procedures that physicians sometimes order not because they think it's good medicine, but because they are afraid of being sued.
What do they consider a junk lawsuit? Second: has anyone ever attempted to find a lawyer that will even consider a medical lawsuit? The first problem is finding a lawyer, and just because you think you should have a lawsuit, doesn't mean that any lawyer will agree with you. For example: My sister went into the hospital to have an angioplasty - the insertion of a stent. She was to be in the hospital overnight, and resume normal activity over a few days after returning home. But, oh my, the doctor slipped and cut her aorta; she now has the same problems that a person having open-heart surgery would suffer - including the wired together breast-bone and months of therapy to go through. But, she was forewarned that a 5% chance of a problem occurring during the surgery existed. She even signed a paper which indicated she was made aware of the possibility and although tort law was created to assure a person would be compensated if another person acted negligently, whether or not that action was intentionally, resulting in the party being injured physically, emotionally, and/or monetarily. By the way; no local lawyers will take this case -- so, how could any lawsuit that makes it to trial be a junk lawsuit?
The other question I have in regards to limiting lawsuits is - would insurance companies pass their savings onto the public or to their shareholders?
Better yet; how much money has each of the person opposing the health care bill received from insurance companies? I think its time for a NEW law - lobbyist must put all money into a central fund - 1/2 of that fubnd will be used to fund National social programs - the remainder will be divided under a lottery system. Get business out of politics.
Next - repeal Bush's mandate giving tax credit to any company sending jobs abroad (I'm sorry that would be outsourcing jobs). Them make a new law - a special tax for every job sent out of the U.S. - tax cuts for jobs brought back to the U.S. Be reasonable - does anyone out there realize what was produced in the U.S. during WWII? In case of a real war, do we buy what we need from China?
Start thinking! Use your head!
I will be adding blogs on an irregular basis. Anyone who wishes to contact me feel free; all responses will be posted - although I have a right to cut offensive speech - replacing words with symbols! email mindyourspeak@hotmail.com
